we do this
im with phil
in 2005 the town of ‘phil campbell’ was discovered after a drunken awards. we were in san francisco picking up video blogging awards at the vloggies. the next morning we decided to google ourselves to make sure we didn’t make the paper, or world wide web, for doing anything stupid the night before. i mean not that we would of course, but everyone should do it daily. the first link that appeared was from the site wikipedia regarding the town, only four miles wide with 1000 residents. it was at this point phil added to his life bucket list.
six years passed until 2011 and the announcement of a 100 year birthday party for the town, pulling together as many phil campbells from around the world. however, only two weeks before the event, an ef5 200+mph tornado ripped past the town destroying 40% of the town and killing 27.
twenty minutes after hearing this news on facebook the event was turned into a relief effort. we went to phil campbell, as a collective to help rebuild phil campbell. we’re determined to make it back there.
no time like the present they say. trees snapped like twigs, families broken and a constant reminder of the world and our place within it. telling other peoples’ stories is at the heart of what we do. we raised awareness by social media and our networks. we even spoke to major news outlets including a live phone in via sky news in the uk.
nineteen phils and one phyllis campbell made the journey to help the town of phil campbell in 2011. we wish the town the best.
the renovated £80 million pound five star langham hotel, located in the centre of london, was to be the setting of the architect journals live stream. planned and scheduled by caron lyon with assistance from phil campbell (me.dm) and creative io, we were on-site for two days (one for reccy and prep) to stream live our video output to the web for others to watch remotely.
eco, lightweight and prep prepared. hiring the pcmprojects team means a schedule and delivery timescales that work.
0ur ghett0 studios are often installed in disused or abandoned empty spaces that have the ability to be connected to fast internet. using our social capital via our social networks, we build up a presence in the locality and interface with technology companies. as remote brand advocates together we build content and teach people the process of digital asset management.
my year long advocacy with watch.tv as a social media advocate brings about many interesting themes monthly that we submit before the month is over. this content is then used to populate the watch.tv website. a wealth of information, talent and skills are shared as a collective of social media ninjas document and use a variety of different products and services to help you with your .tv domain video programming. is your company ready for .tv programming? let us help you get started.
secure, fast and reliable wordpress hosting
after using other hosting platforms and content management systems in the past, we understand what makes a good all around hosting package. many services promise decent backups and automatic updates. but now that wordpress has matured like a good old glass of wine, using wordpress for search engine optimised content creation.
3D Rendering and Apple Motion
a new addition to the fibrecamp collective, daniel rose art is able to produce 3d renderings from floor plans and beyond. he is currently experimenting with apple motion to deliver stunning intro and outro video elements. snappy professional quality and full hd allows us to offer it to our existing retainer customers. grab a number, get in line.
record web video. embed same day.
we know how hard it can be to get that perfect video and audio quality you need for your web video. small businesses need a regular social media campaign to compete and be seen. cellar 54 is the first of its kind in the nottingham area – a popup social media studio where you pay by the hour. we are not a production studio. available anytime including lunchtime bookings and after 5pm for those on tighter timeframes.
‘ontheground’ social team
need to stream an event to the internet? we have been working live streaming for four years and have used a variety of hosts, equipment and systems. we schedule with a fixed pricing structure doing all the preparation required so you don’t have to. we’re even able to scale up the team and work with one of the fastest satellite trucks in the uk if mission critical connection is required.
ammobox project for your own team
understanding that companies want to save money and prefer to keep all social media creation inhouse we came up with the ammobox project – a dedicated box of social media capture equipment that can be used between different departments. custom designed to your needs and company’s growth. includes two days training ‘on the ground’ on how to setup all your social destinations on the web.
just need a bit of a chat?
feeling lonely and want someone to talk to? need to bounce ideas off phil’s head? he’s able to meet you in and around nottingham for lunch, coffee or a beverage of your choice. it’s a sliding pricing structure for 1 man bands, small business and medium sized businesses priced at £30 / £75 / £150 per hour. able to assist with regular content output, distribution, deadtime optimising and social media training.
want to start your own web show?
popup web tv studio spaces are all about reconnecting the local area. inspiring local businesses to use them as drop off points for quickly capturing content, feedback and interviews. we don’t mean to drop names, – in conversation, pcmupdate, the web native, sixbysix, watch.tv advocacy, entrepreneurs, oops we just did. let’s work on a regularly scheduled web show together.
like the beginning of a romance novel, so does our story start. six months free rent space on the second floor of a hot, noisy 18th century office in the heart of the lace market creative quarter district of nottingham.
oddly, the building had fibre optic internet connectivity and thus fibrecamp (now called cellar54) was born. experimental in nature, the studio is aimed at a creative workspace for social media discussion and content creation – a one stop media shop for web masters and those needing video assets.
fast forward to 2012 and the studio has taken many turns in the last twelve months from an empty space to fleshing out to be a basic web studio.
production schedules are now in place for weekly content creation for businesses. much of our company’s growth has been going into presentation, video quality and set arrangement.
who is diz
Caron ‘cogmonster’ Lyon
scheduling genius expert and exacting mission critical thinker, caron is the pulse of pcmcreative. a social media practitioner based in the lace market of nottingham, she also regularly commutes between london and nottingham for project work and on the ground activity. interested in community building, empowerment and noodles.
Phil ‘dmouse’ Campbell
early start pro amateur videoblogger turned entrepreneurial spirited. aiming to constantly question the balance between success and failure and the journey to each destination. capricorn. stroppy and broken hearted but still in attack formation. loves his daughter bella chella bon bon very much.
the above team started with a simple tweet that fibre internet connectivity had been installed at lace market house. the rest was history. proving the theory that wherever you install low latency, fast internet connectivity geeks will come. phil started working alongside pcmcreative building a collaborative effort in the shape of pcmprojects. then later the project fibrecamp with the intention of building popup social media studios in empty disused spaces. IT geeks would not only think of this as genius, but as upcycling.
the mashery of projects webmedia and pcmcreative combining forces of technology, stage and theatre production to produce a lean mean streaming eco machine that considers the ethics and eco nature of our social media actions.
